I hope it’s House M.D. this time, not another Foreman M.D. (it turns out to be a “Houseman M.D” <_< )

House Season 6 Episode 3 - The Tyrant
The Tyrant
House’s team struggles with an African politician who falls ill and decide if they want to help him after he’s charged for crimes against humanity in his country.
Review:

No, he's not imitating ultraman, he's trying to make "LDH" letters
Well, House is finally back! Well, kinda, actually, since he has not been reinstated as a doctor yet, and he just became an unofficial adviser for the diagnostic team. Speaking of the team, last episode, Taub and Thirteen is out of the picture, so right now, we’re back with the old team, Cameron, Chase and Foreman (+ House)! We haven’t seen these guys working together for 2 seasons now, so they’re an interesting take on the situation, and I must say, I do missed all their interaction, this episode is probably wouldn’t be so great if it’s not for that team.
Though we’re kinda back to the middle of season 3, one thing is different, and it’s House. House is much nicer this time around, though we can’t see how he would handle a patient (because of the restriction set by Cuddy), his interaction with the team made up for it. Well, despite the fact that House has become nicer, he is still annoying as ever, telling Foreman that he would not ruled out his authority, and only to step over Foreman’s authority seconds later somehow. I like how the writer’s decision to not make other people comments on House’s change, but showing those changes instead, it’s a great decision. Another thing I noticed is, that this new House tends to apologize quickly, which is another interesting thing, as apologize can be an insult if it’s placed well.

James Earl Jones is simply awesome
Let’s move on to another awesome thing, the patient. The patient is President Dibala (played by James Earl Jones), a dictator from some country in Africa. Well, his illness is not that interesting (the only bad thing about this episode), what makes him interesting is his interaction with the team, namely Chase and Cameron. Like with all bad guys who enter Princeton-Plainboro hospital, Chase and Cameron wonders about saving the guy. Their interaction with the patient helps them find their true selves, leading to the ultimate conclusion, and I must say, I was really surprised by the end. Another thing worth noting is, while Foreman manage to understand it, I believe House will react differently and be pissed, does the show try to show the difference between the two?
Anyway, I think this is a great setup for arc to come, with so many ways of exploring new things. Not to mention that I feel like the last 2 seasons of House have almost no arc, just some filler episodes, except for the last season finale, so this is a really great thing for the show.

Yes House, he's just like you, the old you, remember?
Oh yeah, like most of House episodes, there’s also some drama going on beyond the hospital, and this one features Wilson’s neighbor, which is a Vietnam veteran, and also jerk. Before this season, we would expect a jerk vs jerk fight between House and the neighbor, but nope, in this episode, we get House trying to be nice, though he only gets jerked around as the result. And we also get how House is trying hard to overcome the temptation of being back to his old self, though he finally can’t resist the temptation and resorts to a much more brutal method for handling this guy.
So, with House back, a great team, a great patient, and a great drama, I wonder if the next episode could even match this episode awesomeness.
Summary:
- House and the old team is back!
- The new House is interesting
- The patient is great
- The conclusion is awesome
- Nice “out-of-hospital” drama
- The medical part isn’t so interesting (or probably because other parts are so interesting already)
Final Rating: 9.5/10
I would have give it a 10/10 if the medical mysteries is more interesting and the conclusion has more solid effect
